Your car, without opening the app

Everything on this page runs on iPhone. Widgets and Live Activities show the last reading the app captured: they never talk to the OBD adapter themselves, so open the app (or CarPlay) to refresh them.

Home Screen widgets

Nine widgets, each in small, medium and large sizes. They also work in StandBy and on the CarPlay Dashboard, and tapping one opens the matching screen. Live widgets dim and show an Updated time once their reading is more than a minute old, so an old figure never passes for a live one.

Live Activities & Dynamic Island

Two Live Activities start on their own while a car is connected. They sit in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, and their small layout also appears on the CarPlay Dashboard and in a paired Apple Watch's Smart Stack. For the adapter link at a glance even when nothing is connected, add the Dongle Status Lock Screen widget.

Control Center, Lock Screen & Action button

One control, Connect to Car: "Opens EvmetricsOBD and connects to your OBD adapter." Put it in Control Center, in place of the torch or camera at the bottom of the Lock Screen, or on the Action button, and one press gets you connected as you sit in the car.

Siri phrases

Nine shortcuts work with Siri straight after install, with nothing to set up. Say the phrase with the app's name in it. The reading answers come from the last reading, with the phone locked and the app closed, and always say how old that reading is.
